Default Hollywood Unoriginality Ratio: WALL-E

WALL-E was so cool! Incidentally, I went and saw WALL-E on opening night with some friends at, uh… damn, I have no idea what theater we went to, as someone else bought the tickets. I do know I was in San Mateo though! That ought to count for something.

'Definitive rodent movie'? I preferred The Rescuers Down Under. How can you compare France with Australia?

I guess I meant "the definitive rodent movie of the last year or so." I agree that The Rescuers Down Under was totally rad. I'm also a fan of The Great Mouse Detective.

The next Pixar movie is Up, and it comes out next year on May 29th. They probably are going to run its trailer in front of Bolt or something, even though its not made by Pixar. They have their next few movies all planned out. You can see the list of them in the upcoming section here

Cars is getting a sequel? Awesome! I thought I was the only one that liked that movie.

That does seem odd. I never saw Cars but it got some of the lowest ratings of any Pixar movie and made the third least money. I'm still pulling for a sequel to The Incredibles.

I'm guessing Cars had good toy sales. That movie seemed tailor-made to sell toy cars. I haven't seen it yet either, but I think I'll Netflix it soon.

I really do love both of those movies...

But I think my favorite "definitive rodent film" (though it IS an adaptation) would have to be The Mouse and the Motorcycle.

Was that the one with the kid that turned into a mouse?

That book was good, but the end was weird cause the kid's all "How long do I have to live?" and the grandma's like "Probably as long as I do." So, like, five years or something.

They're STILL making toys from that movie. I actually bought some... if they were in-scale with my Hot Wheels cars, then it would be amazing, but unfortunately they're too big. I hope the sequel uses more *real* cars... I like trying to spot 'em.

American Tales? Anyone?

And yes, Witches was cool. I have that on DVD in fact. The one time in my life I went to a Wal-Mart, they had it for 4.99. couldn't resist.

Also, it's called An American Tail. Y'see Rudy, it's a pun.

What about the sequel- An American Tail: Fievel (sp?) Goes West?

I think I prefer that one to the original...
