Default SCIENCE! Week Movie: the Back to the Future trilogy.

Ok! Let's get this SCIENCE! Week started! I already made a failed experiment of choco-popcorn for the movie, and I suggest you also experment with your movie snacks!

Anyway, onto the first movie. I've always enjoyed Back to the Future, but it wasn't until I got it on DVD that I noticed so much cool stuff about it. For instance, if you look at the name of the mall at the beginning and end of the movie, you'll notice something rather cool. Also, it's been said that the first Back to the Future was supposed to be the only one. The series was supposed to end with the phrase "Where we're going we don't need roads."

I totally saw this movie, and saw the end of the sequel, and rode the ride at Universal Studios. That was a spiffy ride.

Back to the Future was a good movie, I'd say. I like the little details, like people never having seen skateboards, and Chuck Berry taking credit for the kid's song. Though... where does that mean Johnny B. Goode came from in the first place? Time travel is one of those things you really don't wanna think too hard about. Too much weirdness.

To conclude, Deloreans are awesome and I use one as my rally car in Gran Turismo 4.

You mean the twin pine/lone pine bit?

(Cause Marty knocked the second pine down with his car.)

Back to the Future 2: Man I wish I had a cane with a fist on it. Also, wouldn't people (i.e. the mob) get a little suspicious of biff after he won several bets.

He probably intimidated them into leaving him alone.

What? It's a more likely explanation than him outsmarting them.

Also, Biff had taken control of most aspects of Hill Valley's workings. "Kid, I own the police!" and such. Maybe he was running the mob at this point.

I like how Lorraine said she'd never marry Biff, even if he had a million dollars. I also like how Marty's weapon of choice seems to be frisbee-type objects.
