The length of our days is affected by the moon's gravitational pull, which is stronger the closer the moon is to us. When our planet first formed it had a certain amount of angular momentum due to the process of formation, but when two objects orbit each other their gravity causes them to become tide-locked. The moon is…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhdSZLfIwwc I thought birds were supposed to sing, not play the piano. (Really starts to get good at about 1:30.)
-
It's also causing each day to be slightly longer than the last. Given enough time, our days will each be a month long.

Two words: Zombie marriage.

Up in the sky, look! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's the joke!

Congratulations. I always knew you were certifiable.

So it it settled, then? If that Orange Belt meeting ever goes through we're forming an orchestra?

Fun fact: Nintendo had initially intended to use Bolero as the music during the exposition-text at the beginning of The Legend of Zelda but they couldn't get the rights and so used a re-arranged version of the overworld theme instead.

Is there anything that bacon doesn't go well with?

Well you have to take the differences in the two species into account. Considering the innate inferiority cats suffer compared to dogs in pretty much every respect this video is much more impressive.

I re-encoded it in .mp3 (skipping the step that made it go crackly before) and changed one bad note that had been driving me nuts. If you absolutely positively must have your music in patent-encumbered formats then here you go.
-
I actually tried encoding it in .mp3 but the quality loss was noticeable, mostly due to the "crackly" effect in the original file (which occured entirely by accident when I was trying to convert from .mid, but which I decided to keep 'cause it sounded cool.) I might try again at a higher bitrate.

I think he means stuff like Indiana Jones and The Fate of Atlantis.

The re-release was actually my first link.

Well they're not out yet.

I forget where I got this:

Looks neat. Hopefully they'll redo the sprites and levels and make their own game based on this when Capcom issues their inevitable Cease and Desist orders.

In Canada, we have a wide variety of different types of driver's licenses. In Ontario you have to get three of them (with three separate tests) before you're considered a licensed driver, although you can actually drive a car on your own (with a few restrictions) with just two.

None of our experiences in life affect our genes, which is what would be necessary for memories to be passed on the way you're suggesting. We have certain instinctive impulses because people with the genes for those impulses tended to survive longer and have more offspring than those who didn't. Anything more sophisticated…
