Can we go back to the future?

I'm what you might call a water man, Jack - that's what I am. And I can swear to you, my boy, swear to you, that there's nothing wrong with my bodily fluids. Not a thing, Jackie.
-
Ah, but do you drink coffee, or tea, or Kool-Aid? Do you put ice in your drinks? Do you brush your teeth? Do you open your mouth in the shower?
-
Cold sores, or fever blisters, are caused by the herpes simplex virus. The same virus causes genital herpes, but it's not always an STD. :tmyk:
-
You sure you don't have oral herpes?
-
Huh. It works for me in IE7 after clearing various things. :/
-
Wow. I liked that.
-
The beard version of Operation? wat

I'm a spam bot, now? Cool. Anyway, yeah, we rebuilt my husband's comp recently for less than $300. Priced elsewhere, it would have been more than double that, after deals and rebates.

Wooo... I have PMS and a gun. Get off my bumper! Anyway... You know, 1982 was the year I was born. :tmyk:
-
Well, my plans have changed yet again. Looks like I'll be driving down to FL, staying only one week, and then have the rest of the summer free. So if you guys are still doing this, let me know a start date. :)

This is one of the reasons I love Guild Wars. If you're doing the story, the zones are all instanced, and you can take AI henchmen or heroes to fill out your party. Seriously stupid to give out real info like that.

I'd like to take this opportunity to plug Newegg.com. They've got some of the cheapest prices for computer parts and software, and they have reliable reviews from other buyers. They also sell platform games.

And since for some reason I can't edit the post, I'll add here: Isn't tool use one of the defining traits of intelligence, in the sciences? How does that mesh with our God-given supremacy over the Earth?
-
ROFLMAO. Don't get me wrong, I understand the struggle to mesh faith with science, and I do my utmost to respect others. That said, this is a losing battle, and this Creationist Museum, in my opinion, is only making them look stupid. I mean, the ark animals used special God-given tools to diversify?? I thought we were…

I'd say it's statistically more common that a pet dog would kill a child, but that's because so many more people own them. That said, owning huge snakes is a bad idea for everyone, including the snake.
-
I keep WoW on my desktop to sigh at. I've cut out most subscription things from our budget. I do, however, play Guild Wars.
-
You know what, Panda? You're absolutely right. We should set up a gaming thread, if there isn't one already.
-
Yeah, I noticed the ban after I posted here. Kind of a shame, really. I don't think Pickle was hopeless, just too slow about fixing his ways. That said, I support the ban. I come here for fun.

Which reminds me of that one episode of ER where a very young girl had almost half her brain removed, but it was okay because it wasn't developed yet and the necessary neural stuff could use the rest of the brain. She was expected to be pretty normal for the rest of her life. Interesting, if based in truth. I'm not sure,…

A neti pot. They're kinda weird, but they work REALLY well. Also, Baby Vicks. The regular stuff is too harsh for me.
-
OMG I just creamed myself. Ahem. Uh, let's see... Edit: Due to Nathan Fillion, that is.
-
I'm glad they let him go. Seriously, seriously relieved. So many little Police State incidents... *shudder* The good news is, publicity!

Back to the original question, sort of. There are scads of scientists studying the question of innate vs. learned behavior, and there are ideas floating about what the normal (usually dominant) genes code for, with things like homosexuality being variants. I've wondered sometimes about the nodule approach. We pass on…

I really liked Up. It was very poignant in the beginning, when you're introduced to this really lovely character who's charming and funny. And then she grows up gracefully, and goes through heartbreak, and then... dies. I cried. The rest of the movie was mostly funny, though I kept feeling bad for the old man. I especially…

I have too many favorite books, but right now I'm in sci-fi mode so I'm reading the Ender series (Orson Scott Card) and some of Frank Herbert's non-Dune stuff. Also, milk chocolate. No cherries. No marshmallow, unless it's s'mores. Tool, except for the part where it takes em five years to put out an album. Sigh. Cuddles…

I don't remember any of us expressing any kind of wish along those lines. Frankly, Pickle, you're like an annoying and much younger brother trying to hang out with the cool big kids. You don't bother me too much, but that's partly because I already have one of those, and I'm used to him. Try this. If you're nervous about…

I kept bowing out to have babies and family crises. Hopefully I won't have any more of either for a little while. But if I do go away again, I promise to try to announce it.

I has a new sig.

Inksandwich is dead. Do not play with the corpse.
