Totally okay with me... I wish I could hang out on the 22nd, but oh well, this will still be fun. Though I wouldn't necessarily make you stay until I got back... this is something of a "good ol' country wedding" so it may last a while... this certainly isn't a cake and punch reception.

AYE! I also have a bit more definitive of a plan in mind: Before the 21st: Anyone is welcome to crash at our place in lieu of getting a hotel near Chicago. 21st: Everyone meets in Millennium Park in Chicago on the 21st... maybe at like noon or something. Also, recommended that you drive to a train station in the Chicago…

Okay, so, here's my idea. The wedding throws a wrench... kinda. But with some creative planning, I think we can work around it. So, Ryan will hopefully arrive in Chicago by plane on the 21st. This gives him time to get out to Michigan by that night. Or we could take him back with us if we're in Chicago that day. Whatever.…

Is there anyone who can't do that weekend?
-
So! I fail at planning. Our friends' wedding is on the 22nd of August... we'll be gone the entire day. So people won't be able to be at our place. Bummer... can we move it up a weekend, or is this weekend the only one available?

I think that that version of capitalism is, in some ways, just as idealistic as visions of pure socialism. "Capitalism is each man naming his own price". Yes, this is true. But this can only be a good thing as long as each person has the ability to competitively produce goods or services in the marketplace. Saying this is…

Only the sensual (used in both the sexual and non-sexual way) and intellectual stimulation that I receive pursuing various interests and experiences. This includes trying new foods, experiencing new sensations, enjoying the company of my friends, and attempting to learn more about the world and how it works. Also my ability…

Okay, so what we can take from this is that extreme socialism is probably not the best idea. But, we also know from our situation that extreme capitalism is probably not the best idea since those with power will try to get more and keep it from everyone else. So, amazingly, shouldn't we seek the right balance of middle…

That is TOTALLY awesome!

Ahh yes!! Taco pizza! What glory. Also, don't forget promises of your grunting cat.
-
I don't quite know what was being said there, kukopanki... can you elaborate? And just so everyone knows, I was totally kidding... we could use a good dose of socialism here (I think, anyway).
-
Yeah, that's exactly what we need. Bigger government so poor people can just be lazy and do nothing while rich white men do all the REAL work. You probably voted for Obama.
-
Yay! That's good, I suppose. But... I think I smell something on this CEO... Could it be... SOCIALISM?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

These dates sound good to me. I'm going to have to cut it off at the VERY latest at August 31st, because I think classes start near the first of September. But the 10 day period of August 21-August 31 sounds good to me. I'll probably quit my summer job by that point and just laze around entertaining you bums. =D

Aye! EDIT: But let me remind everyone, the trip probably won't be quite so central to Chicago as the California trip was to California. I live about 2.5 hours from Chicago. Not that we can't go to Chicago and also utilize to my place, but just making sure everyone understands the slight travel involved.

I would ask how many times you listened to it... one of my friends is a HUGE Opeth fan, and he didn't like it at first, but he kept with it for a bit and now he loves it. I felt the same way. Now I love it as much.. perhaps even more than, Ghost Reveries. Hessian Peel is probably my favorite track. If you haven't listened…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaHp2Tf49r8 Sorry to put more from the same band here, but this song is much different, and ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. It's Opeth's "Windowpane". It's from their album Damnation, which was the second in a dual album release. The first, Deliverance, is one of their heaviest ever, and Damnation is…

I am very much enjoying Altitude, despite some of the people on it being competitive boobs. But it kinda sucks that there's only one game going on at a time.

This... is just bloody ridiculous. That dude isn't really fat at all, from the picture. The three women are, but you're right, fatter people work all the damn time. And we really see the truth of the matter at the end with the daughter's statement... "We all want to lose weight to stop the abuse we get in the street, but…

Chuck Norris blows donkey balls. ...just throwing that out there.

Heh heh... heh heh... hey Ryan... want to check out my battle sorc? Ha. Our freshman year there was this guy who lived on our floor who (attempted to) play Diablo with us. Unfortunately, he started getting into it hardcore when we started coming off the high. He would stop Ryan to talk about how he was trying to create a…

Yay religion.

I like Dungeons and Dragons, Final Fantasy, fantasy novels, etc etc. I think Illithids are pretty badass, so I wanted to use that as my name. I think I was also in high school chemistry at the time, and someone said that weapons manufacturers commonly used Uranium-235 to make nuclear bombs. So I decided to go with that.…

Well... it's technically true...maybe. Could just be a skewed statistic, I don't know. BUT, if it is true, the truly responsible thing to do would be to increase the use of birth control and family planning to even things out. But of course, that's imperialist thinking... so this is just bad all around.

Lots of successes lately! I have my own to contribute... in the beginning of April, I'm going to be giving a paper at a conference at UC Riverside! This is great not only because I'll be able to get feedback on my work but also because it helps me build my CV. Success!

I think scholars have tentatively agreed that Plato was referring to a giant flood that ravaged part of Crete. Thus, no Atlantis.

YOU'RE NOT PLAYING RIGHT GOD GOD!

See, he's assuming that Texas' secession will incite a second American Revolution. He assumes that people care enough about a state of religious zealots instituting a secession to fight to retain them. Would anybody miss them? Really? Also, I find it odd that about 2 years ago Chuck Norris would probably say that it was…
