Wow.... is that Nicholas Cage? Seriously? That was horribly acted!

Wow, that was an old man rant if I ever saw one. But shit, I remember AOL... chat rooms were where it was at. I am a little embarrassed at the number of times I said "a/s/l" in my AOL years. I also remember text-based gaming on those little tiny internets... bulletin board somethings? BBN? BBS? I can't remember. Legend of…

Umm... I'm pretty sure they're not in his basement. The construction worker originally states that he has no reason to be surprised, because the plans for the highway were posted in City Hall or some other such building for several months. It would create humor if, in order to see the posted information, one must descend…

Uhh... well, I'm trying to figure out what you're talking about, Jakey... I mean, sure, they're dumb, but aren't most video game heroes pretty dumb sometimes? To what are you referring? And also, I disagree, I think there's a lot of really enjoyable moments. The future is a pain in the ass to navigate, and I think that's…

Hell yeah they are. Honestly, I don't know if I would enjoy some of these older titles if I had never played them as a child. One of my friends was introduced to Chrono Trigger in college, and she thought it was okay, but nothing special. That combined with Jakey's comment makes me wonder... Chrono Trigger and Earthbound…

While I do love Chrono Trigger a WHOLE lot, I'm not as excited for this port. I really don't like what they've done with the way the environments and characters look on other DS Final Fantasy ports... they're too...cutesy, and I'm worried they'll do the same thing with this version. At least I hope they tone down the…

I am Sean Conner... I mean... Deckard Cain!!

The God of spell check is known too make sum errors from time two time... that's why a spell checker is know match four a well-sharpened human mined. Their are sum errors that just don't get picked up. See? All I've typed is correct.. my spell checker tolled me sew.

The word you were searching for was "indifferent," not "ambivalent." Ambivalent means you have very strong, conflicting feelings about something. Also, I can't help you. I really don't like anime. But you could always get Doctor Who. That's a good show.

EDIT: I'll leave this remark up because it's funny. Sometimes I just forget to keep my sarcasm detectors on. Might it be 12 million bees? I'm not sure how many bees fit into 330 crates, but it sounds like it could possibly fit...

The God of Romantic Spite. This is the being who makes sure that when you're lonely and single, your dating prospects are bone dry, but when you finally do get a girl/boyfriend with whom you're happy, the interested males/females come out in droves lamenting vocally your non-single status.

Awesome, Serephel. That wins, I think.
-
Well... I wonder if I'll be able to run it.

When my wife suddenly died, I couldn't just keep going... I had to sit at her grave for a while... I just couldn't leave her without a moment of reflection.

Well, it is cluttered, but only because there's a lot of extra stuff there, like cleaning supplies. It could be made to look pristine with TLC and perhaps a backdrop behind the shelving to hide all the cords. That would be easy to do, just staple or nail or tack a cloth to the back, cut some holes for cords, and there you…

That surprises me. But it appears that I have been served.

Goodbye, token young'n!! Take care! Don't drink the water! Watch out for crazy Asian women who just want to learn English from you!!

Oh, I completely missed that one. You know, I do enjoy photosynthesis quite a bit. Sometimes I lament the fact that our ancient ancestors never took a hint from photosynthetic beings and got themselves some chlorophyll while the gettin' was good. We're still stuck eating to survive while plants are livin' it up.

I remember a prof telling me that the only reason that Ayn Rand's books aren't considered a huge part of the literary canon is because her philosophy is very conservative and a lot of academics are liberal. Otherwise, I think she's considered to be a fine philosopher and writer. I haven't read any of her stuff, but that's…

Actually you're thinking of Monster Rancher, not Digimon. Digimon is a misshapen clone of Pokemon, where there's only like 6 monsters and they are constantly evolving and unevolving and evolving again (always into the same monsters) to the constant wheeze of a generic anime serial. Monster Rancher was pretty neat, if a bit…

ARRRGHFTW ROGUE GALAXY I have always looked at it with interest, and I remember seeing it for like 20 bucks new somewhere and considering it... damn. I should have gone for it. Maybe I'll continue my search. And in response to Serephel... those are all extremely moving moments, without a doubt. BUT. They could have been…

I think you've redeemed yourself with that Lopunny, Scott. And man... Digimon... in which medium did Digimon have its genesis? I just remember that bastardy cartoon.

That one that was posted about Majora's Mask a while ago was pretty amazing. There's a lot of depth in that game I never realized existed. I always liked Majora's Mask a lot... the atmosphere is just so much more fascinating to me than the other games. And Twilight Princess was great, but I remember that it was dampened a…

Don't worry, Mr. Seagull, there will always be a special place in my heart for you. :D That was really only a reference to the fact that the first post of his I read was a continuation of a discussion I'm really invested in, nothing more.
-
I like you already, you seem capable of intelligent, reasonable discussion. Welcome. =)

Well, I'm not completely sure who almost offended you, so I'll just say that I agree without knowing I agreed before, video games are extraordinarily complex, and all the little bits and pieces of them work toward making them art. Environment, sound, physics, storyline, character development, the list goes on and on. And…

You're making me curious, Mario. I kinda want to play it now.

I would get every Nippon Ichi game if I could.. and every Atlus game. But alas, I am a mere mortal, with but 100 years or so of life in me. That's not enough time to get through all those games satisfactorily. Know what game sucked, though? MAGNA CARTA.

I could never bring myself to use a Pokemon that looked like someone had taken a nice soft poo on top of its head, though, so I had to stick with the mediocrity of Rapidash.
