  • You can't buy points online?
  • Damn it, now I can't defend Phoenix Wright because I'll come out sounding like a person who likes anime.
  • I tend to think that, like Phoenix Wright, it's more of a visual novel than an adventure game. "Adventure game" is a better marketing term, though, because it attracts the Sierra/Lucasarts nostalgia. I really want to play it.. the visual style alone cemented my eventual purchase, not to mention the noir stuff.
  • I started playing Zelda II from the collector's disc around Christmas! Also from the NES cartridge about nineteen years ago! Holy crap, I'm old! Anyway, I didn't like it much back then, but I think it's brilliant now.
  • Join the "wait until it comes preloaded on your next computer" club then. Don't tempt fate and waste money!
  • I don't know.. a lot of art-type programs were designed for Mac first, I guess, and then ported.
  • Are you trying to give me an aneurysm, mjc?
  • Hey guys i just figured something out Computers are not dudes they are machines the commercials are full of lies
  • I'm not installing any new operating systems, because my computer works RIGHT NOW! Not Vista FTW!
  • SUPPORT GOOD MUSIC GAMES
  • You know, maybe I should play more Ratchet and Clank before I dismiss it totally. I know it's a 3D run&gun, but how platformer-like is it? I really can't stand most 3D platformers. Again, though, not being serious, Castlevania thread, your words are as empty as your soul, etc. illithid235: I have finished PoR pretty…
  • First, I'm not being serious, just being Castlevania-centric in my Castlevania excitement thread. I can accept the fact that some people enjoy Ratchet and Clank, even more than they enjoy good games. Second, MANKIND ILL NEEDS A SAVIOR SUCH AS YOU.
  • Only much more successful, yes.
  • Oh, and I don't think they're microtransactions, but neither are they actual levels-- just song remixes that don't affect the gameplay. That kinda sounds cool!
  • http://www.ncsx.com/2006/120406/parappa_the_rapper.htm dammit japanese preorders for parappa came with a sticker a stiiiiiiickeeeeerrrr
  • It apparently has 5 new downloadable levels. And calling it a "remake" is charitable. It's still better than any game released to date on the PSP.
  • It follows the level-based structure of earlier Castlevanias. Remember the first part of SOTN, with Richter Belmont and Maria Renard? ("Die, monster, you don't belong in this world!") What am I talking about, of course you do! That is based on the end of Rondo of Blood. It was only released on the PC Engine Super CD Rom in…
  • Stef: the Harry Potter books are pretty good despite being popular. Also they are extremely quick reads, even the later books that are too fucking long.
  • are they fighting dracula with whips
  • it is kind of a piece of crap with the bricking and the dpad and battery life and stuff but holy crap RONDO OF BLOOD Hmm, maybe I'll just buy a Turbo Duo.. but the game would still be like $200 on top of that. The PSP is the way cheaper option here.
  • Good call on DJ Max Portable. The only way you wouldn't have gotten an all-caps dismissal from me for saying something was better than Castlevania was by naming one of the music games. I can totally accept that.
  • I totally forgot about the Rebel Strike bonus disc. There was a Star Wars arcade machine near my dorm at college. I love that game. I'm going to have to track down a copy of that disc, when I get some money.
  • You can get that shirt, as well as the awesome Pac-Man "ending" shirt at www.errorwear.com. No juvenile button placements, though.
  • I used to like plain old copier paper. Mostly by necessity-- all my drawing supply money back then went to Sharpies, which I used up pretty quickly.
  • Maybe you should make the minimum order and sell the extras on eBay!
  • Okay, there's the seething.
  • sorry... I'll keep looking.
  • http://www.gramcoonline.com/1160/supplies/item.html Bottom link, $1.30 each ($1.15 each for orders of more than 72)
  • Oh, you never lost my respect. I just ranged somewhere from "seething jealousy that I could tell myself was disdain" to "regular jealousy."
  • Well done. You went from what appeared as "I am wasteful and rich" to "I have a knack for receiving free computers," which as a character trait is significantly more awesome.
