https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrhdR0G2PQ0 Phil Plait debunking the silly egg-standing myth for like the 15th year in a row? Awesome Wil Wheaton t-shirt? A desktop of SCIENCE!? Yes please!

The eerily lifelike walking combined with the incessant droning of its motors adds up to just about the creepiest thing I could imagine coming toward me. It's like it's powered by bees! Very impressive technology.
-
...Seriously?
-
Because I didn't know it was online yet! Booyah!
-
Unless you're Perseus or Hercules.
-
Well excuse me! We can't all spring fully-formed from the head of Zeus!
-
I'm a coward for not having access to my Wii at an appointed time? Or for celebrating Easter with family? Please be more specific!
-
Any chance we could swing this over to Friday instead of Saturday? I'm gonna be out of town for Easter next weekend, but I could probably delay the trip until Saturday morning for brawlin' purposes. If the tournament has to be on Saturday, I'll have to politely decline until the next one. Sorry!
-
I'm gonna do my part to reduce this forum's carbon footprint by merging with the previous Pi Day thread. That doesn't actually make any sense, but it does mean that I am now the starter of this conversation!

This equation is just for leadership status. It appears to show the relative rankings within a group of pirates. Wenches and grog are disseminated evenly throughout the crew, and anyone without a beard is keelhauled, so those aren't very useful statistics.

Damn, I'm 0PLR. Curse my aversion toward wearing hats! I should point out that The Ultimate Pirate has an infinite PLR, as he has no eyes, hands or legs. This is proof that he truly is the ultimate pirate:

Oh god please no.

Before this past Saturday, I was getting pretty good at going to bed at a decent hour. But ever since I got Brawl, I haven't been able to get to bed before 1:00 AM, and when you start waking up at 6:30, that can catch up to you pretty quickly. I'm gonna need to try to play earlier in the evening so I can get my day wrapped…

I would be okay with rewatching Godzilla, since I watched the English bastardization with the fictional reporter Steve Martin haphazardly inserted into the film. I'd love to see if the original cut ever made it over here with English subtitles or dub.
-
Back, from outer Space! I've learned the Aero of my ways! ....sorry. Here's an important Brawl discussion. Compare with the original for increased hilarity.

This story has creeped me out since I first heard about it a year ago. If the parents' only reasoning is that it makes her more comfortable into adulthood (why not just do it to every young girl then?) and more manageable for them in their ability to take care of her (talk about selfish), then they don't have much ground…

And stealing someone's heart attack medicine. And real life pirates. Like with eyepatches and stuff.
-
I'm back again, but only for the awesome thread title change. Okay I'm done again. Goodbye forever!
-
Eew. I'm out again.
-
Q-Tip was always the best at these threads. That's the only reason I clicked into it just now.
-
This would all be very awesome indeed, if it weren't so illegal. :p
-
I still want it to be a SCIENCE! Movie though, once it's out on DVD. I'd like to see just how damn bad it really is.
-
You misspelled "Schwarzenegger". Unless that's what you meant by the other one. There's a good reason there's no flying car yet.
-
Jon mentioned it in the very first post with this thread. 1 Million Years B.C. had dinosaurs, whereas 10,000 B.C. did not, so at least the newer film is slightly more accurate historical fiction. Except that there were no cities until around 4,000 B.C.

28 Days Later is zombie enough for fans of the genre to appreciate it. I'll keep calling it a zombie movie. Please also add Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Be Kind Rewind whenever it's out on DVD.
-
I want a pet thylacine. They look cute. Especially Benjamin here:
-
Paprika's really good, I concur on a vote for that.
-
As great as people usually think Citizen Kane is, it's not very SCIENCE!y. But yeah, people should see it independent of the SCIENCE! Movie group. Santa's Slay will be an annual Christmas flick. I second The Core, throw in Predator, and request more theater-going discussions like we did for Snakes On A Plane. Meet Dave is…

Geoff took his box off just in time to get thoroughly slaughtered by me last night. Go Geoff!

I wouldn't worry too much. When playing eight-ball on a cosmic scale, "nearly exactly" isn't close enough. Unless this gamma ray burst is large enough to blast through the entire Solar System, I suppose, but that's a pretty damn large area of the Universe. Besides, there's evidence that Earth has been irradiated with gamma…
