It's time for another OUTRAGEOUS "post your desktop" thread!

edited July 2023 in Tech
This was partially prompted by my discovery of the "grab" utility on my Mac today!

    Cmd+Shift+3 is neater, I think.

    EDIT: Here's mine:

Note all the cool trickery, such as visualiser wallpaper and floating itunes control thingy (which F11 doesn't hide). Also notice the battery doesn't fucking work and I need to take time out to go to the Apple Store in Regents Street to get them to tell me that it doesn't work and replace it, when they could've just mailed me a new one. Bastards.

The communist symbol, and Gunbound Revolution?

"All My Things"? Don't you mean "The people's things"?

Hamelin, what city is that in the background?

To be fair, it does look like a shared folder.

    Ah, so he's the dictator.
  • edited September 2007
It also seems he's removed the stuff he doesn't want us to see from the desktop. JUST LIKE STALIN!
  • edited September 2007
I cleaned my desktop off not too long ago, so it's fairly clean at the moment. I'm not kidding.

Oh, I seem to have left my AIM open. Teehee.

EDIT: Also, Jake, is that from Rocko's Modern Life? The questions is rhetorical, because I know that it is.

I think I've just had my ass kicked by a box mage.
EDIT: You don't have to be Russian to censor.

What's the nuclear symbol an icon for?

Incidentally, why do you have the Apple site icon? I thought most people get rid of it since it's a bit of a waste of space...

He's got the entire default Dock configuration, in fact.
  • edited September 2007
    Oh yeah, he does.

He also has three browsers in his dock, two of which are Mozilla based...
  • edited September 2007
Close- my Dock setup is only somewhat like the default. As for the "nuclear symbol"- that's smcFanControl. The hammer/blueprint thing is Xcode, and the hammer/OpenGL logo thing (next to TextEdit) is OpenGL Shader Builder.

Jakey you win this topic. By large. Rocko FTW!
  • edited September 2007
Heh, I didn't realize that my desktop was supposed to be anything but censored when I posted it, being as I was so mesmerized by Amoeba Boy's gitacular Soviet symbol of Communism.
  • edited September 2007
I don't really know what this has to do with anything, but... UTAH!

(The end product of the GIMP and OpenGL Shader Builder.)

    EDIT: Sorry for the double-post!

Some part of Paris, I believe.

    Fine, I'll bite.

    teapotld7.gif

I couldn't find the original Utah model, so I made my own teapot and added a cel-shading renderer to it. I have a .obj if anyone wants it. In retrospect, it would've looked better had I turned off the reflectiveness. Meh.

Eh, I used my own image...

Doesn't make it any less awesome.

Haven't you made the jump to RPG Maker 2K3 yet?
  • edited September 2007
Keep forgetting to. I'll Google search it someday...

Plus I made an awesome RM2K model of my high school.
  • edited September 2007
    An RM2K model?
  • edited September 2007
Yeah, like I laid out all the tiles and stuff and made people walk around. No school-themed monsters yet, though.

    So many WoW addicts...

No, I never play that game. My brothers would love it if I did... my older brother has been paying for my account, but I only played a few times. I just couldn't get into it.
