This looks pretty badass. Is it out yet?

Today I am feeling the need for a ludicrous alien movie. Alien Opponent should do the trick nicely. Starring Jeremy London and Roddy Piper! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuxJ8nvlMS8

I am liking Servants of the Imperium.

What about bribery?

I'd say that 'It's a Disaster' is the best out of the five there. But watching Rock Jocks is definitely a good way to spend 90-odd minutes. For todays trailer I present to you A Fantastic Fear of Everything starring the ever-awesome Simon Pegg. It blends comedy, absurdity, darkness and Simon Pegg into a pretty unique movie…

Hopefully it'll still be there when you get back. Definitely a movie that benefits from being seen on the big screen.

I can only go so long without posting a zombie flick. Check out The Battery. It's a micro-budget minimalist movie that is an amazing character study of a couple of guys trying to survive the zombocalypse. There's very little in the way of actual zombie killing here, but surprisingly it doesn't suffer for it.…

At the end of the day, it's a minor quibble. Because if they'd just been using the sword the whole time, there would have been considerably less punching. And that's just not a world I want to live in.
-
I'd only recommend it with a healthy dose of alcohol. Although I will admit to enjoying Casper Van Dien's attempts at acting.
-
Today you get It's a Disaster. An quirky little black comedy that is well worth checking out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CA9S6NgzNYE

Dracula 3000? Yeesh.

Epic Meal Time has been replaced now. Regular Ordinary Swedish Meal Time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8Wu3Bps9ic

You guys still doing this? I got a kindle last year so I've been reading a lot more. What with not having to schlepp across town with a heavy-ass bag of books from the library now.
-
You're getting a trailer a day. Until I run out of movies. Which could be quite some time. Somebody start a count. Today you get Rock Jocks, I'd expect a few of you will have at least heard of it if only due to Felicia Day's involvement. I found it to be pretty enjoyable and there are a few excellent scenes. It did drag a…

Hmm, possibly this thread shall lead to my downfall. I'm just adding bookmarks left right and centre. Forgot to add my zombie comic reads as well: Dead Winter The Zombie Hunters

Hey Bruce, what's the recipe that you used for your sloppy joes? I've been thinking about making them for a while. Been making a lot of soups recently, always good for the rainy season. I'm liking where my minestrone is at these days. I use chorizo, bacon, carrot, onion, celery and broccoli stalk with some stock (chicken…

Tak, your friends have no souls. X'o I was also pretty sceptical about the likelihood of it being good. I think a big thing that helped was not following the 90 minute format that most movies stick to. That extra half-hour gave enough extra time for basic character development without having to cut any badass punching…

Using a container ship as a club should also be pretty high on the list as well.

Dynamite show. I'm now going to watch all of the others. Awesome stuff.

In that case you definitely need to check out The Sound of Noise https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSYQ0IbNsBw

My bad. I just saw a cluster of letters with MST3K, didn't register the OB.
-
MST3K is all well and good. But I think it is better to make your own commentary of snarkiness. Or develop your own drinking rules, for the drinkers amongst us.

The History of Future Folk. The only descriptor I will give is Sci-Fi Bluegrass Music and then let the trailer speak for itself. http://youtu.be/fZrDALCsKwI

I wouldn't know about the best software/framework. As long as it integrates a read/unread and a quick-reply & multiple themes: I'm going to be happy. RE: Movie watching, it wasn't always a case of cross-platform it was more a case of time/scheduling. So if anything it'd be a bi-weekly-monthly thing. Rather than the…

I'm coming back. I don't know how much of a selling point that would be, but I'm coming back to the Belt. I'd like to start threads for the print-comic readers amongst us (if there are any), and a lot more 'general' movie discussion. I would say that the 'let's all watch movies together' thing has barely gotten beyond the…

Everything has built in obsolescence these days. It doesn't make fiscal sense to build a product that lasts forever. You can only sell it to a person once. Make something that breaks after a while and you can sell one to the same person repeatedly.

Happy birthday! Sorry, no pics I'm not on my computer.

Awesome. Here's hoping for mammoth burgers in our lifetime.

I am back. There was a tsunami of beer headed towards Perth, but luckily I was there to stop it. Sweet Monkey Jesus, I have never been on such an impressive bender. Drinking solidly from the 29th of December until the 14th of January. I'll have to post some proper highlights and pictures at some point this week. Right now…
