The sound does seem a bit more consistent between the game footage voice-overs and the in-person shots so I'd say the new tech has helped. Man I don't know if I actually beat Zelda 2 or not anymore. I THINK I did, but I seem to have little memory of it.

There seems to be a worthless protoplasm on my screen. If I punch it hard enough to kill it...maybe it'll drop a cookie! This plan is flawless! I can smell the cookie already...there's no way that could have anything to do with the pan of cookies sitting in the kitchen.

Huh. I thought it was pretty good, but I guess I had no hang-ups about it going in. The first Ironman was really Marvel's first big attention grabber while the second was just a normal supplement and not the major ordeal the first was so I guess I could see how some people would be disappointed. Bigger problems come from…

The first 2 are quite good unless you really hate superhero movies for some reason. They're probably the best of Marvel's movies after The Avengers. Well, for reasons, I'm not including Ironman 3 as being among their best, but I'm not saying it was bad.

This does look pretty nifty. I think it starts a bit too basic for my purposes, but if I find more time I may check it out more thoroughly.

See THIS is a game I heard of, but never played. The spike pit joke at the end was funny, but would have been helped by some clearer signage. What was there wasn't quite impossible to miss.

Finals? Ugh. I wish. More like a midterm project I don't want to do. Finals are fun because they are just tests I can take and be done and not have to do more homework for the next week.

Indeed. Though I'll say I partly bought a SNES for 3rd party games. I never bought an N64, but I will say I had an odd love of 1080 Snowboarding on that.

Has anybody ever used the marketing slogan "The power of a console in your hand" or something to that effect? I want to say someone at some point did so, but the WiiU may be the first time someone can almost legitimately make that claim and they haven't really tried to do so at all. Probably a good thing. It'd just invite…

Some of your coworkers don't seem to have bios. tsk. Also, there are router/modem combos to be had around here, but they aren't really the norm to my knowledge. It makes a fair bit of sense to combine them, but keeping them separate has advantages. At least as long as people tend to operate from a variety of different…

What the hell kind of router stores internet login information? The DSL modem is a completely separate device and even that doesn't store login info. That's all managed at the ISP level. They redirect all my internet traffic to their login page when they decide they want it. In this case the IP address that I had unchanged…

God the snow. Isn't it supposed to be spring?

These are excellent. Incidentally this just makes me think of the Farcry 3: Blood Dragon game I put a video in a different thread for, except in this case this game is legitimately retro and not a corny mockery of it.

Everybody thought this was an April fools...apparently it's not? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zh94nidjpM

It's going to be a bit more boring without ridiculous homestuck updates for a while. I guess I could hope for more prequel adventure updates instead, but I don't see that happening.

Holy crap I have internet at home again. For the record, a Friday night is apparently a bad time to install a new router. My internet didn't like it and asked for login credentials. Mind you this info was used once over 10 years ago and was set by the internet company when they installed the DSL in the first place, so I…

I don't check it for a couple days and suddenly I'm buried in updates. Only mspa. Only mspa...

I think the whole internet is poisoned with puns to some degree.

Has anyone here ever linked the PBS Idea Channel? It's pretty neato. It sometimes occurs to me other people may not actually be aware of these things just because I am. I figure if they did all know they'd talk about it at some point and that hasn't seemed to happen.

Did I not just previously talk about California Games as being the second best game ever? California Games is a corny old collection of little sports-ish games where a group of people trade off a controller and compete in the series of minigames. It's like a forgotten ancestor to party games and mini-game collections we…
-
Pfff, if you didn't spend your childhood blowing in NES cartridges who are you even? Play some obscure puzzle game like Solomon's Key, be really super terrible at it and play California Games instead that you rented for like the 14th time because it is seriously the second most badass game ever when the neighbors come over…

So you don't want to rob the world of this Skippeevee goodness?

I'd keep watching them if you keep making them.

I failed to convince my friends to try LotRO. Somehow instead we end up playing League of Legends a bunch even though I'm not sure any of us really like the game all that much. Tried Tera though. Didn't like it. It's like WoW with a Korean flair. Neither of those are good things. EDIT: OB is my second speed dial box after…

We are a bunch of code-loving monkeys aren't we? ...Now I'm thinking of Drooling Iguana's dancing monkey avatar.

Finals week. I'm going back to school to pick up a bachelors since I haven't had a proper job in a good while. I've switch from programming and game development to IT though. I don't know the right people to get into game development. I'm focusing on web application development within the IT program. I similarly enjoy…

Hmmm. Yes, I imagine the Timberlake theme is a necessary framing for that one isn't it?

OLED isn't really something you'll find in an affordable way right now for a desktop monitor to my knowledge. LED and LCD are not exclusive technologies. LED simply refers to the use of LED's for backlighting as opposed to more traditional CCFL back lights. LED backlighting in most uses is intended as a power saver.…

Sounds awesome. Good luck on that.
