I received my PS3, my own gift to myself, as you all know. My little brother officially bought me Fallout 3.... but also gave me his Red Ring'd Xbox 360 free of charge, since he bought himself an Elite when it broke in October. I just shipped it today, so in three weeks I'll get a (almost) FREE Xbox 360!! Also got quite a…

We haven't really talked ever, but I would love to start. Good to see you're doing okay.
-
It all started with the "show off your gaming stations" thread. I was rooming with Ryan at the time, so he posted a picture of our combined gaming station. He told me where he was posting it and invited me to join, so I looked around, and joined. And here I am. I'm something of a newbie, compared to everyone else.
-
(I was kidding)
-
This is a new wave of experimentation in "stream of consciousness" writing. It seems at first just random words, but there are ALWAYS some connections between the words, even if those connections only exist to you or the writer or some other person somewhere. There's nothing random about it.

I have received my PS3!! I was a little surprised to find out that they don't send HD cables with the PS3. Strange for a system that sells itself on its HD capabilities. But besides that, I have set it up, made my Playstation Network account, and am ready to play! Hooray!

I wouldn't argue that it isn't nicer for everyone to have their own space. I completely agree. But the problem is not that it isn't pleasant, but that it isn't efficient. It takes more resources to have more space, and when those resources are limited, it is more responsible to conserve them.
-
Well, that's the opposite end of the spectrum.
-
Yay! That is indeed success!!
-
I wasn't saying that it was unnecessarily harsh... I love Yahtzee's cruel sense of humor. I was commenting that it was harsher than usual... meaning that it must REALLY suck.
-
A guy who clearly wants everyone to know that he named his son Adolf Hitler.
-
Wow.... that seemed harsh, even for him.
-
It makes me sad that those kids have to suffer from their father's antagonistic behavior.
-
You might try calling them to see how things are progressing. I did that, and shortly afterward received a confirmation letter. Go to the SonyRewards page and find the contact info.
-
Yes, I do. It's old, but dependable.
-
So. Today I bought my PS3. Here's the best part. It only cost me $250 plus shipping. Yes, I got a brand new 80 GB PS3 for the price of a Wii. So though I won't get backwards compatibility, I'll have a spanking new system within (hopefully) two weeks. Woot!

I was mostly referring to the fact that my latest installment on the Old English thread was immediately derailed into a discussion of what God and Satan would be like as Pokemon trainers. If I have to spell it out explicitly.
-
Well, I do try to give grammar tips whenever possible... that's my contribution to the future in THIS space. And yes, I do try to teach the children neat things. But I do seem to remember a certain intellectual offering of mine being completely overshadowed by Pokemon.... :hulk: ;)
-
Gotta....steer this back... in the right direction... Phew. There we go.
-
John, I think that the system you refer to is crap. I really wish we didn't need cars to get anywhere. I HATE cars. But unfortunately, we have a lot of land, and so felt it necessary to spread out ridiculously. So we need to demolish everything we've already built and build a few of these on the coast:…

Or go on to grad school hoping that THAT degree will allow you to work in your field.

Crises (CRY-sees), actually. Part of the difficulty is that if a squirrel can't find food for itself or for its family, it only has to worry about that small group. Many of our problems exist at a national or global scale, and so finding solutions that will hurt the fewest people and that people will go along with are much…

I would actually like an electronic book reader if it had two very specific features. My main desire is to have a page turn button instead of scrolling. I HATE scrolling through text. Also, a backlight would be nice. If an electronic book reader had those two functions, I'd be all over it. You also gain a few good features…
-
....what? I didn't think that sort of arrangement existed anymore.
-
Too bad it's not on YouTube...
-
Oh boy! A Fire Sale!
-
That is a great example of how important proper sentence construction can be.
-
Heheh. And Amazox, it's not us being angry, just mentioning it. Punctuation and capitalization just make things more pleasant to read.
-
Or use punctuation. My recommendation is that you start practicing, Amazox. I'm not sure how old you are, but I'm guessing you're young enough that practicing standard writing skills will only benefit you in the future.
