Woo! I got superdrunk last night and have no hangover!! Yay for drinking huge glasses of water before going to bed. Drinking is fun.. we had a very lovely voice chat with Jake last night. =D

You all are amazing!! I love the orange blet and all its crazy peoples. Yay for Jakey and his angry moderator posts and his sexy theology knowledge Yay for serephel and his chineseness Yay for behemoth. He's a big guy Yay for night lord. He's the british equivalent of me 5 years ago. Yay for mish. She's an awesome female.…

I just tried a U-boat, Bruce. Very interesting. Not the best tasting (I was using kinda crappy beer, unfortunately, but man, it hit me pretty hard. That's a good drink if you want to get drunk. I might have to imbibe another so I can legally post in the Love thread tonight.

I agree... very inspirational. It's nice to hear a positive story about Afghanistan when all we usually hear is negative.
-
I'm more of a sweet drink type of person. I'm not sure if you'll be drinking at a bar or at someone's house, but one of my favorite drinks is milk, butterscotch schnapps, and amaretto liqueur. It's a very warm-tasting drink, though I don't know if you could get one at a bar or not. Kahlua and milk is also a good sweet…

That's not a Canadien. Her head is attached to her mouth.
-
It bugged me, so I had to say it.. "deep seeded"... the actual phrase is "deep-seated" as in it's seated deeply within oneself. I'm pretty sure, anyway.
-
Me too... we should have gone with cravats. DAMN! Also...cha! That one's for you, Bruce. And the links to the other ones are on the left side. They're not custom made, you just choose your metal and size from a big selection of rings. As I said, ours are replicas... the original ring is in some museum in Britain.
-
I do agree, kukopanki (I still don't know your name, blarg). It was a bit arrogant to just assume that they didn't know anything about the situation. And, it is very very difficult to decide which matters are worth protesting and which are not. Hindsight is obviously quite aware of which matters fell on which side, but in…

No ties. Ties are against my religion. Also, the rings say "Autre ne vueil." The rings are replicas of poesy rings from the 15th century.. it's an archaic form of French for "you and no other."
-
I think that you're absolutely right, kukopanki. But I also think there's a huge difference between protesters protesting a foreign nation's internal affairs in that nation, and a citizen protesting against something within their own government. As a part of that government, you understand the issues a whole lot better,…

Okay, the pictures are posted on the photographer's website. I can't save them, though, I'll have to wait until I get the disc from her. At that time I'll post a few choice photos for those who don't feel like going through the whole collection. But here's the link, feel free to browse.

Tibet is an especially ridiculous example. Like you said.. most of these people probably know nothing of China. Most of their information probably comes from a source within their own country that has proclaimed that Tibet's lack of freedom is tyrannical, and so they join the crusade.
-
Indeed. Putting my degree to good use.
-
I decided long ago that I have no idea if Tibet should be free or not, and I don't think that I could possibly gather enough accurate information to know. So I cannot really comment on the debate. I dunno... a foreigner protesting a foreign nation's policy in that nation? I'm not sure I necessarily agree with that. But…

I think most of your are missing a crucial piece of this article. She issued a press release stating that she would impregnate herself and then give herself abortions, and display the blood and refuse as artwork. She later revealed, after some outrage from certain groups, that her actual piece was the press release. All…

That's actually really clever of her. Bravo!

Ohhh... Tanya!! Hi Tanya! This is Japan Tanya, right?
-
Model search, eh? What kind of model search is this?
-
Or his superior language skills.

I don't know, I couldn't find anyone to chat with. Was there even a chat last night?
-
Drowning/suffocating has always been high on my list of horrible ways to die... though, I think you're right, fire has to be one of the worst.

So the man considered how he might raise the attractiveness of his son, and thereby raise the attractiveness of his household. The usual methods came to mind...plastic surgery, adoption of a mysterious, debonair disguise, and a potion brewed by some nameless witch...but all his plans were either too expensive, too easily…

Soo... Friday at 8. Is this chat still going on?

Here starts a whole post of playing devil's advocate...I feel like stirring up some conversation. Feel free to shoot me down if I err in my logic. I do absolutely love that game. But I still feel like criticisms in the vein of those above could be leveled against it. Silent protagonist. Same basic layout as the first game…

You're not supposed to like them. I was just curious as to why you didn't. And VI is my favorite anyway. Also, what would you call a "good RPG?"
-
I don't know why so many people here dislike the numbered Final Fantasy games. You don't like Japanese RPGs? They're too popular? I didn't really enjoy the DS remake of 3 that much, but I enjoyed IV, VI, VII, IX, and XII. They're not all at the pinnacle of gaming (VI is for me, but just that one). But I thought they were…

Yeah, good call. It felt weird typing that, actually. Um.... it makes me feel old, really. Not good or bad. The thing that rocks is the ring that I get to wear now. I find myself exposing my left hand in public. It's a beautiful ring, and such a universally recognized symbol.
-
Oh, those first two pictures were taken in my wife's parents' house. Her father is a big car person, and he drag races the car he's maintained. And as soon as I get access to more pictures, I'll post it. Actually, the person who did our photography posts all her pictures on her website.. I'll provide the link once she's…

I'd love to play Mario Kart Wii with you, Bruce... but I'm really poor. =( It may be my next game purchase, though. And I know a lot of people like to hate on FFVII... but I thoroughly enjoyed that game. Good stuff, I think. But anyway, as to the thread topic... one of those games for me is Magna Carta: Tears of Blood. It…
