  • In the history of my alternate universe, game endings would have been depicted first by cave paintings, and later by tapestries.
  • Yes, only one game can be good.

  • It's made of gas, so.. no. But does it have a rock 'n roll mass? That would work.

  • The shading looks very Pixel-esque. Which means that I love it.

  • When I think of all the garbage NP influenced me into wanting, and how much money that cost my parents... I get a little sick. I had way more NES games than are ever necessary.

  • Nintendo Power is a surprisingly okay magazine these days. Far from the "HEY GUYS BUY FESTER'S QUEST WE GIVE IT A REVIEW OF 10/10 OR MAYBE 11 IF IT JUST MEANS YOU'LL BUY IIIIIIIIIIT" it used to be. Anyway, the fact that NP cares about knitting just means that our site is a really good idea.
  • I guess I'm used to waiting a year or more for games, so I don't mind waiting a few days. Prestige is for people with money. Also, my apartment > all game stores.
  • Excellent, Tak. And mario: Gamestop. It's either SAVER or FREESHIPALL (one used to be for EB, one for GS) You MAY have to go there through CheapAssGamer's affiliate link, I don't remember. This is all a lot more confusing since the EB/GS merger. Waiting a few days is worth not having to go to Gamestop.
  • Man, cancel that and order it online to get your doodad. Use the code SAVER for free shipping.
  • You should mark that box "Games to Trade In For A Copy of Elite Beat Agents."
  • Okay, the doodads are lame, but I'm not a Pokemon fan. Anyway, not only are they styli that don't fit in the slot, but they come with (not minifigures, but) a STYLUS HOLDER. HAHAHHAHAHA On the other hand, free. http://www.dsfanboy.com/2007/02/17/gotta-pre-catch-em-all-pokemon-preorder-bonuses/
  • Did you preorder? Did you get the doodads?
  • Another week of reporting on Wii shipments and not buying a system. But at least I helped people!
  • Man, how did I miss this thread? Re: not deserving games, etc. etc.: if I buy a game, then I can do whatever the hell I please with it, which includes cheating. Whatever makes it more fun for me. I understand that the limitations are part of the game design, but I also understand that I don't care.
  • Galaga '88 and fuckin' ACTRAISER are on deck for Japan (among other stuff like Wonder Momo, which I am alone in liking). Square Enix went right out of the gate with the best game either company ever made. So awesome.
  • I have ALMOST bought a Chia Mr. T from eBay many times. It was a TV Land promotional item. I am a big fan of The A-Team.

  • Well, there's your first problem.
  • Anything that results in the destruction of an N64 controller is okay with me. Except for Mario Party.
  • Okay, thanks to everyone! I had a little meltdown there, which happens from time to time. Time for responses. Agentcel: you've got your shit together for someone so young. PLEASE don't ever go to the Gamefaqs forums. We should preserve your logic and intelligence. Stef, Takeru, Jason: those were precisely the right things…
  • http://digg.com/gaming_news/Wii_party_tips_from_who_else_college_finance_company Every time you click this, I get better at my job. When I get home from the library, I'll respond to some of the (absolutely perfect) things you guys told me.
  • The DVD industry is doing fine.
  • That's pretty awesome. Anyway, no, I am being told exactly what I need to fix. The problem is that there are things that I need to fix, which means I'm not doing it right and am annoying my bosses and cruisin' for a bruisin'. I wanted to impress them right away, and apparently did impress them enough to get a job, but I'm…
  • Your idea of a peptalk is telling me I'm reacting wrong? That only makes me feel more like crap.
  • oh man i want to crawl into a fucking hole and die i keep making little formatting mistakes, and that's all i ever hear about my bosses haven't told me i've done anything well, but i hear about everything i fuck up which leads me to believe that i'm doing a bad job and i'm a bad writer and a bad employee, and i have no…
  • The project will abide. It's a long-term sort of thing. There's also another project that I've been idly discussing with Stef. Dude, it feels like old times discussing awesome projects with the two of you. That's sort of how we all "met!" I'm developing nostalgia for past message boards. We should totally accomplish a…
  • Seriously, Nintendo couldn't be less concerned with telling a larger story in Zelda games, or making any kind of cohesive timeline.
  • The "Chia Homer" is the weirdest one for me. It's so ironic.

  • Nintendo should do like itunes, where you can buy a lot of different things.
  • We're not going to get any of Rare's awesome licensed properties, like Beetlejuice, because of the license. The door is WIDE OPEN for Taboo: the Sixth Sense.
