The marching band playing th Spider-Man theme song was kinda cool, though. And Ursula was still awesome. Everything else sucked.

Ursula is adorable in that dorky kind of way.

I just saw the movie like five hours ago and I think it was freaking awesome. I’m pretty much in the same boat as kukopanki having never read the comic and having minimal exposure to Spiderman before the movie, so I don’t really know “what they did wrong.” But from a face value sort of view, I absolutely loved it. The story was interesting, the visuals were pleasing, and there were a lot of scenes I enjoyed.
I’m so relieved they didn’t fall into the plot cliché of there being an “evil imitator” of the good guy and then the people are like “oh no! Is Spiderman evil now?” and the good guy has to redeem himself in front of everyone while fighting the evil twin. They cut that noise out right away. Instead they employed the whole aspect of temptation which I thought was pretty interesting.

I loved the scene when Peter was fighting Harry. Harry says something to the effect of “I protected you in high school, now I’m going to kick your ass!” To which Spiderman responds “oooooh.”

Me and Paul went to see this last night... and can i just say... wow... I have so many questions...

How did Bruce Campbell manage to still be good, even in this garbage?
What autotune filter did they use for those songs on her voice? (That thing was INTENSE)
What the hell was with that hair?
Who cast venom? (worst choice ever.)
Who let the air humping scene in the final edit?
    and finally
WHY SAM RAIMI AND BRUCE CAMPBELL, WHY?!?!

... wait. I get it. it's a test. Sam Raimi is trying to see if we'll forgive him.

That was one of the many things that had me laughing throughout the movie.

What I loved is that MJ decided to completly forget about what she said in Spiderman 2, and just become a self absorbed bitch.

That's because no one liked/remembers what happened in Spiderman 2.

Yeah MJ should have been way more into Spiderman and less human when she lost her role on Broadway.

I thought the dinner scene at the French restaurant had such good character friction! The dramatic irony as Peter was complimenting himself was entertaining to watch.
